Introduction to Reward-Based Horsemanship
The goal of Orientation is not simply to teach behaviors, but to begin building a shared language between horse and human.
The Orientation is designed to introduce both horse and handler to the foundations of reward-based training in a calm, practical, and supportive environment. Sessions focus on communication, safety, understanding how horses learn, and developing the foundational skills needed to begin training together successfully.

What to Expect
This is an educational, hands-on session focused on understanding the reward-based training process rather than achieving perfect behaviors immediately.
Sessions may include discussion, demonstrations, guided practice, and practical exercises with:

or an educational horse at Reins Free Horsemanship.
No prior reward-based training experience is required.
